High-Tech Steriliser for Disinfecting Medical Instruments at a Frontline Hospital
Aid recipient
The Yevhen Karabalesh Kherson City Clinical Hospital (Kherson, Ukraine)
Among other options like steam autoclaves and formaldehyde devices, plasma sterilisers are considered the most advanced.
A plasma steriliser for this Kherson hospital* will help provide swift, life-saving care to scores of wounded patients.
*Although Ukraine’s armed forces liberated the occupied Kherson in November 2022, the Hospital remains in close proximity to an active war zone and it is frequently exposed to Russian missile attacks. In August 2023, another missile strike caused severe damage to the hospital and killed 25-year-old otolaryngologist Dmytro Bilyi.
