Plasma Steriliser for Disinfecting Medical Instruments at a Frontline Hospital
With a pre-war population around 300,000 (now 70,000), Kherson was under Russian occupation for 8 months, from February to November 2022. During this time, the Karabelesh City Clinical Hospital continued treating patients, even when its staff dwindled to 50-55% of its former size.
Although Ukraine’s armed forces liberated the city in November 2022, the Hospital remains in close proximity to an active war zone and it is frequently exposed to Russian missile attacks.
In 2025, the Karabalesh City Clinical Hospital sent us an urgent request for this plasma steriliser. Compared to traditional steam or gas autoclaves, plasma sterilisation ensures an impeccable level of hygiene. Plasma sterilisers operate at low temperatures in a dry cycle, preserving the integrity of medical instruments and extending their lifespan.
In addition, the entire sterilisation cycle takes less than an hour, significantly increasing efficiency. Microprocessor control simplifies operation, making it easy for medical staff to manage.
We purchased and delivered this steriliser in spring 2025.
