Portable X-Ray Machine
Aid recipient
The Kharkiv Railway Clinical Hospital №1, Ukraine
The Hospital was in urgent need of several different types of X-ray equipment.
A portable X-ray machine can be moved from room to room within the Hospital and thus provides advanced imaging for patients who may not be able to access the fixed X-ray machine due to their condition.
Crucially, portable X-ray machines require less power and can remain operative during blackouts if they are connected to generators. (This is a major advantage given the frequent and indiscriminate shelling of the city of Kharkiv.)
